The OEM Values synchronization available from the Central Synchronize Data module on the Main Admin Page, supplements the audit results extracted directly from the device during an audit with attributes provided by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).  The OEM values are used and displayed throughout Central, with options that are configurable on the Device Field Selection page, which is part of the Data Visibility module.

OEM values include Manufacturer Duty Cycle, Segment, Device Type, SBS and many others.  By enabling the Sync OEM info in real-time option, newly discovered models are automatically cross referenced with FMAudit's centrally hosted SidebySide (SBS) database, and values are retrieved for devices when a match is found.

The SBS database is updated on a periodic basis as new device models are released to the market and as information for old models are updated.  In this case, by scheduling the OEM Values synchronization, Central will periodically contact the SBS and update existing devices from previous audits.

Additionally, OEM synchronization includes also the SBS costs. The SBS database is querried for the latest information for the latest models, and whatever is added will be submited to SBS as well.

If FMAudit Central is offline and misses multiple syncs, then it only performs the last scheduled sync when it comes back online.
